Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Communicate with management about vehicle and equipment status.
- Test and adjust systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with a team of mechanics to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (2+ years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
- ASE certification or similar is a plus.
